The MNCPA holds an annual conference each October. The conference features the annual general membership meeting, multiple educational breakout sessions, a chance to meet various vendors, social networking opportunities, an awards recognition event, a silent auction, and social activities. Elections for MNCPA Board of Directors positions are also held at the conference.
The conference is open to all state, county, tribal, and local law enforcement employees, as well as any person employed by a private enterprise in a safety, loss, or crime prevention position. Licensed peace officers are eligible to receive POST credit hours for attending the conference.

Additionally, we will host an Awards Luncheon to honor all of the great crime prevention work being done in Minnesota and those responsible for the efforts. Please remember to submit your award nominations early so those responsible for positive work in your communities are recognized.
MNCPA Awards
All too often good work in crime prevention goes unrecognized or is taken for granted. MCPA promotes the opportunity to recognize individuals, groups, and organizations that go the extra step in the area of crime prevention. Six separate awards can be given to individuals or groups that support their communities and their organizations through their crime prevention efforts at the annual conference.
Volunteer/Citizen Award: This award shall be given to a person or persons who have demonstrated by their actions, a furthering of Crime Prevention efforts in a given community or specific area.
Business/Civic Organization Award: This award shall be given to a group or organization that has assisted with Crime Prevention programs in a given area.
Law Enforcement Officer/Specialist Award: This award shall be given to a law enforcement officer or specialist, who is an active member of the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association who by their actions has demonstrated an exceptional performance of their duties.
Crime Prevention Team Award: This award shall be given to an outstanding Crime Prevention Team for its consistent outstanding efforts in a specific role and activities in Crime Prevention.

Rosie Griep Legacy Award: This award shall consist of nominations from the membership, for any member of the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association who has given a significant contribution to Crime Prevention efforts for at least ten (10) years or more.
Charles Rix Award of Excellence: Consideration for this award will be given when the virtues of vision, leadership and success converge in an individual or group for efforts in crime prevention.
